SUMMARY:New Jersey: Identifying and Intervening in Body Image Concerns\, Disordered Eating\, and Eating Disorders.
DESCRIPTION:This course explores the differences among dieting\, disordered eating\, and eating disorders. Participants will examine the impact of weight stigma on mental and physical health\, learn the core principles of Health at Every Size (HAES)\, and review evidence-based interventions that support clients in improving their relationship with food and body. The course will also address strategies for enhancing readiness for eating disorder recovery and identifying when referral to specialized eating disorder treatment is appropriate.
