Who we are

About the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals Foundation (iaedp™)

Leading Global Network for Eating Disorder Professionals

Established in 1985, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) provides education, training, and certification for practitioners and professionals who treat all types of eating disorders. We are the hub for expertise in the treatment of eating disorders and are dedicated to the professional development of practitioners in the field, providing certifications, continuing education, and advocacy for excellence in care worldwide. At iaedp, we aim to foster a global community that promotes research-based best practices to ensure effective and compassionate treatment for individuals with eating disorders. Our comprehensive certification process, conducted by leading professionals in the field, establishes the standard for excellence in eating disorder treatment and prevention.

Our History

iaedp began as a small network of eating disorder professionals seeking to connect and share their knowledge. Today, we’ve grown into an international association with members in more than ten countries, all working toward the advancement of treatment standards and professional development.

Why iaedp?

Certification

Our certification programs are recognized worldwide and are a testament to our members’ dedication to the field of eating disorder treatment. iaedp offers certification and education designation for a variety of healthcare on front lines of eating disorder management.

Associate Designation

The Associate Designation formally recognizes those working in the field and affiliated professions who are not eligible for full iaedp Certification but still provide invaluable support for patients with eating disorders. It is not part of iaedp’s certification process; it is distinctly educational.

Resources

iaedp is committed to providing cutting-edge educational resources and opportunities for our members. From webinars to international conferences, our events are designed to keep professionals abreast of the latest research and techniques in the field.

Global Recognition

Our members are active in various outreach programs and partnerships that extend our mission to practitioners all over the world. With more than 40 chapters, members are part of a local community and a worldwide network – all focused on the same goal.
