Leading Global Network for Eating Disorder Professionals
The iaedp Foundation is seeking dedicated professionals to serve on its Certification and Curriculum Committees—essential groups that help shape the quality, integrity, and advancement of our certification and educational programs. These volunteer opportunities are ideal for professionals passionate about maintaining excellence in eating disorder education, and credentialing.
Current Committee Opportunities (call for volunteers closes November 14)
Certification Committee– Oversees the full certification program, ensuring policies, procedures, and standards align with best practices and accreditation requirements. Meets monthly for one hour via Zoom; members may be asked to review policy drafts between meetings.
Exam Development & Item Writing Subcommittee– Creates and maintains exam content that reflects psychometric and accreditation standards. Meets quarterly for 60–90 minutes; additional item writing sessions (2–3 virtual meetings, 90 minutes each) will begin soon.
Eligibility & Recertification Subcommittee– Reviews applications for candidate eligibility and recertification to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance with policy. Meets quarterly for 60–90 minutes, with additional review work as needed.
Appeals & Complaints Subcommittee– Reviews formal appeals and complaints to ensure impartiality and transparency. Meets as needed when an appeal or complaint is filed.
Curriculum Committee– Partners with iaedp™ Core Course presenters to provide high-quality, foundational education for eating disorder professionals. The committee ensures course content remains current and multidisciplinary. Time commitment: 2–3 hours per month, including one monthly one-hour Zoom meeting.
