iaedp Foundation has chapters around the world. Our chapters are rooted in specific geographic locations and are a mission focused network helping advance eating disorders education, resources, and professional collaboration.
If you live outside of the United States and are interested in starting an international chapter, please contact our Director of International Affairs, Maricarmen Diaz Juarez at maricarmen@iaedpfoundation.com.
If you are interested in creating an iaedp Foundation presence in the U.S., here are the steps needed to get started.
Step 1: Build Your Founding Group
Identify four (4) individuals willing to serve on the Chapter Leadership Team in the following roles:
- President
- President-Elect
- Secretary
- Treasurer
In addition, identify ten (10) individuals who are interested in participating in the chapter but are not serving in these leadership roles.
Requirements:
- All leaders and participants must be iaedp Foundation members.
- A new chapter should not be established within 50 miles of an existing chapter.
Step 2: Contact the Chapter Support Team
Email the Chapter Support Team at chapters@iaedpfoundation.com to discuss your interest and confirm eligibility and readiness under the Supported Chapter model.
The Chapter Support Team will:
- Review your proposed region and proximity to existing chapters
- Confirm your founding group and membership status
- Provide next steps and required materials (if applicable)
