A year of steady work, and what comes next
Dear iaedp™ Community,
This past year has been less about visible change and more about building what needed to be built.
Much of that work has happened quietly. But it has been essential.
This has been a year of steady work — in governance, in financial oversight, and in the systems that support how this organization functions day to day. Much of it has taken place behind the scenes, but it has allowed us to move forward with greater clarity and stability.
One area where this progress is more tangible is in the expansion of our educational offerings. The iaedp Online Institute continues to grow, now including content from the 2026 Symposium. This allows the learning to extend beyond the event itself and into clinical practice, where it matters most — in the decisions we make with patients and families every day.
At the same time, we are developing new training series in collaboration with several organizations across the field. These will be released later this year and featured at the 2027 Symposium in Chicago. The focus is not on volume, but on relevance and quality, and on ensuring that what we offer remains grounded in clinical reality.
Alongside these developments, we have remained focused on strengthening the Foundation’s operational and financial health.
I am pleased to share that we have completed our 2025 financial review and received a clean audit, and we are now officially releasing our 2025 Annual Report for your review.
Over the past two years, we have taken a disciplined approach to aligning expenses with revenue, strengthening internal controls, and making more intentional decisions about how we allocate resources. As a result, we have significantly reduced our operating deficit and are on track to return to a positive financial position by the end of 2026.
This matters.
Because the stability of this organization is directly connected to our ability to support clinicians and, through them, the quality and consistency of care that patients receive.
Looking ahead, we will continue building on this foundation.
In the coming weeks, the iaedp Voices podcast will return, offering another space for professional dialogue and connection. Our educational offerings will continue to expand, and our partnerships will continue to evolve.
None of this happens in isolation.
It reflects the engagement of this community — your participation, your feedback, and your commitment to doing this work well, even when the work is complex and demanding. It also reflects the steady work of our Board of Directors, our Executive Director Dawn Gannon, our support team, and the many volunteers and chapter leaders who sustain this organization every day.

Un año de trabajo constante y lo que está por venir
Estimada comunidad iaedp™:
Este último año no se ha caracterizado tanto por cambios visibles, sino más bien por la consolidación de nuestras bases fundamentales. Gran parte de este trabajo se ha desarrollado de manera discreta, pero ha sido esencial.
Ha sido un periodo de esfuerzo continuo en áreas clave como la gobernanza, la supervisión financiera y los sistemas que sostienen el funcionamiento diario de la organización. Aunque muchos de estos avances han ocurrido entre bastidores, han permitido avanzar con mayor claridad, solidez y estabilidad.
Uno de los ámbitos donde este progreso resulta más tangible es en la ampliación de nuestra oferta educativa. El Online Institute de iaedp continúa creciendo e incorpora ahora contenidos del Simposio de 2026. Esto permite que el aprendizaje trascienda el evento y se integre en la práctica clínica, donde realmente marca la diferencia: en las decisiones que tomamos cada día junto a pacientes y sus familias.
Asimismo, estamos impulsando la creación de programas educativos innovadores junto a distintas organizaciones del sector. Estas se publicarán hacia finales de este año y se presentarán en el Simposio de 2027 en Chicago. Nuestro enfoque no está en la cantidad, sino en la relevancia y la calidad, asegurando que todo lo que ofrecemos esté firmemente anclado en la realidad clínica.
Paralelamente, hemos mantenido un enfoque constante en el fortalecimiento de la solidez operativa y financiera de la Foundation.
Me complace informarles que hemos concluido la revisión financiera de 2025, recibido un informe de auditoría sin salvedades y publicaremos oficialmente nuestro Informe Anual 2025 para su consulta.
Durante los últimos dos años, hemos adoptado un enfoque disciplinado orientado a alinear gastos e ingresos, reforzando los controles internos y tomando decisiones más estratégicas en la asignación de recursos. Como resultado, hemos reducido de manera significativa el déficit operativo y avanzamos hacia una posición financiera positiva a finales de 2026.
Esto es fundamental.
La estabilidad de esta organización está directamente vinculada a nuestra capacidad para apoyar a los profesionales clínicos y, a través de ellos, a la calidad y consistencia de la atención que reciben los pacientes.
De cara al futuro, continuaremos construyendo sobre esta base.
En las próximas semanas, regresará el podcast iaedp Voices, ofreciendo un nuevo espacio para el diálogo profesional y la conexión. Nuestra oferta formativa seguirá expandiéndose y nuestras colaboraciones continuarán evolucionando.
Nada de esto ocurre de manera aislada.
Es reflejo del compromiso de esta comunidad: tu participación, tus aportaciones y tu dedicación a hacer bien este trabajo, incluso cuando es complejo y exigente. También es resultado del esfuerzo constante de nuestra Junta Directiva, de nuestra directora ejecutiva Dawn Gannon, de nuestro equipo de soporte, así como de los numerosos voluntarios y líderes de capítulos que sostienen esta organización día a día.
