Find Your People at iaedp

Chapters, SIGs, and networking opportunities make it easier to build meaningful professional connections and find your place in the community.

October is a great time to reconnect and strengthen your professional circle. At iaedp, there are several easy ways to get involved:

  • Become a member. Learn more about membership
  • Visit the Member Portal. Join community conversations and connect with other members at community.iaedpfoundation.com
  • Find a chapter. Build relationships with professionals in your area. Find a chapter near you
  • Explore a SIG. Connect with members around shared professional interests, experiences, and areas of practice.
  • Join a networking opportunity. Attend a program, gathering, or community conversation.
  • Bring someone with you. Invite a colleague to your next chapter event or iaedp activity.

Start With One Connection

You do not need to meet dozens of people. Start with one meaningful connection. Introduce two colleagues who should know each other:

“I thought the two of you should connect. You both have an interest in [topic], and I think you would enjoy meeting.”

One introduction can lead to support, collaboration, referrals, and new opportunities.

Bring Someone Into the Community

Know someone who might benefit from connecting with iaedp?

Invite them to a chapter event, SIG gathering, networking opportunity, or educational program. Keep it simple:

“I’m attending an upcoming iaedp event and thought of you. Want to come with me?”

Sometimes the best way to understand the value of a professional community is to experience it.

Come Find Your People

Your October challenge is simple:

  • Attend a chapter event
  • Explore a SIG
  • Join a networking opportunity

One connection. One invitation. One conversation.

Find Your Community: SIGs and Networking Groups

Want to Start Something New?

Interested in a SIG?
Members may propose a new SIG by submitting:

  • The proposed title, focus, and purpose
  • Short CVs for the founding co-chairs
  • At least 10 interested iaedp members
  • An explanation of how the SIG differs from existing groups
  • Ideas for engaging members

Proposals are reviewed by the SIG Leadership Committee and, if approved, move forward to the Board of Directors.

Interested in a Networking Group?
Networking Groups offer a more flexible way to bring members together around a shared interest, experience, role, or location. They do not require formal Board approval and can be started with coordination through the Membership Team.

  • Trae a alguien contigo.
